Attack on Cattle in Kipini Division

In the wee evening hours of Sunday 17th July 2016, 17 cattle were attacked by people believed to youth from nearby Pokomo settlements of Chakamba area of Kipini, in the attack a herder was inured and later rushed to Mpeketoni for medical attention. Rumuors have been on the rise for a potential retaliatory attack prompting elders to convene a baraza together with the DPC. The case is now being resolved using mediation..... Residents have called for the speedy implementation of the Witu agreement - a past communal agreement put in place as a mechanism to prevent such attacks
