Heavy flooding displaces 5000 people in Tana River County.

Description

More than 5000 people have been displaced by floods in Tana River County. More than 700 houses have been submerged the the raging flood waters that have also cut of major transport routes and access to essential resources and services. The affected were rescued and moved to higher grounds by the Kenya Red cross along with the other civil society organizations. Some of the affected areas include Bandi, Wema, Kipini and Odole villages.
