Al-shabaab terrorists attack incident report.

Description

It was reported on 13/01/2018 by members of public that at about 10:30am, Al-shabaab terrorist attacked security convoy escort at Nyangoro area. Witu National Police Service(NPS)and Kenya Defense Forces(KDF)visited the scene.On arrival to the scene the team found out that 2 official vehicles belonging to the Administration Police(AP) and Kenya Police Service Lamu County were set a blaze. Several police officers were injured while one female adult woman found dead at the scene as she was travelling in AP security motor vehicle when she met her death. The AP motor vehicle was said to have carried nine(9) passengers including the driver during the time of attack. The team are still combing the bushes to recover any injured officers and also making efforts to account all security personnel involved in the two motor vehicles.
