Suspected Al shabaab mitilia attack Bus convoyat Nyangoro in Lamu

Confirmed reports indicate that suspected Al shabaab militants attacked a PSV bus convoy along the Nyangoro stretch that is within the proximity of a GSU camp. The convoy was heading to Mombasa when the attacked occurred.
The militants attacked the lead police escort vehicle forcing the officers to take cover in the bushes next to the roadside. Consequently the militants took control and stopped some of the buses, distributing threatening leaflets to the passengers.No reports on civilians civilian causalities have been made. The militants also attacked a team of KDF and GSU officers while on their way to the are to give reinforcement. Two security officers were injured in the ensuing gun battle. The fate of the attacked lead police escort is yet to be established even as Kenyan security forces pursue the criminals.
