Al-shabaab attack KDF officers in Mpeketoni

Description

On the eve of 2nd November 2017, heavily armed gunmen believed to be of the Al-shabaab terror group attacked the Kenya Defence Force soldiers manning a road block at Maisha Masha in Witu Division Lamu West Sub County. A fierce gun battle ensued where the KDF soldiers killed two of the gunmen with several others escaping with serious wounds.
The area has since been a no go zone as the KDF conduct a man hunt for the assailants.
