Speaker Retains seat amid controversy in Kwale

Hon.Summy Nyamawi Ruwa has retained his seat for Kwale county assembly speaker after he polled 25 votes beating Mr Chimera who got 9 votes after a re run.In the first round of voting Ruwa who was sponsored by NASA got 22 votes against 12 votes for Mr Chimera who was sponsored by jubilee.A candidate who was sponsored by His excellence Salim Mvurya got zero in the speakers election.This has brought a tag of war between the assembly which many of the assembly members came from NASA affiliated parties.during the swearing in ceremony the governor was not present till the end of the function.
