INCREASED GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN MOMBASA

Description

A woman was reported to have been raped in Mwakirunge by a group of youths. This happened on 30th she was among the people pursued by police to enforce curfew in Mombasa. She went to hide in an area near the Mwakirunge dumping site not knowing it was a hiding location for the group. They pounced on her and raped her. She feared going back to report to the police.
