10 people injured in Kisauni as gang members prey on residents in Early Morning Attacks.

Tension is high in Kisauni Mombasa County following attacks by machete wielding gangs that injured 10 people early sunday morning. Victims suffered deep cuts on their heads, hands and legs. The gang members are believed to be part of the 86 battalion, a new gang group in Kisauni area.
Police officers responding to the incident tracked the group to a hideout in Mwandoni area where a shoot out ensued as the criminals fled. The officers were however able to recover ATM cards,cell phones and 4 machetes from the hide out believed to have been used by the group.
Police have since launched a man hunt for the suspects with some believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
