Police avert a potential attack by criminal gangs in Mtopanga

Description

Acting on a tip received from a KECOSCE peace monitor, police officers from Mwatamba and Mbungoni police post intensified patrols in areas of mtopanga during the night of 30th September 2019, reports had indicated that there was a group of suspected criminals gathering near soweto grounds and were planning to attack civilians. Having wind of police presence in the area the group dispersed .

This action is believed to have averted an impending attack by the gang. Police have been acclaimed for their swift action
