INCREASED CASES OF LAND EVICTIONS IN KILIFI COUNTY.

Description

Kilifi county leaders have condemned what they call rampant evictions of residents from their ancestral land. The leaders faulted have the county security team for executing court eviction orders without involving the local leadership and thus evicting innocent people from their homes. It is alleged that law enforcement officers are being used by tycoons to illegally acquire parcels of land. The county commissioner has pledged that any eviction orders will be scrutinized by the security team and the county attorney general to ascertain authenticity before any executions are made.
