Ethinic political tension in Taveta

Taveta sub county.
There has been simmering tension and tacit grumbling from the locals(tavetas) that other tribes who have settled in the area are trying to wrestle for the political seats which they believe are to be held by them as the natives. There are several aspirants from communities who are running for various seats and word going round is that they are asked to 'tow the line' and the native do not want that.
