TENSION OVER THE COMPENSATION OF MIRITINI RESIDENTS

Description

From 16-18th February, there was compensation of Miritini residents whose houses were demolished during the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway. The process brought chaos and tension from residents whose names did not appear on the list. Thankfully, A meeting was organised for the complainants and the situation has calmed down. The Deputy County Commissioner Office is handling the situation.
