ALLEGATION OVER AREA CHIEF'S NEGLIGENCE LEADS TO LOSS OF LIFE IN MWARAKAYA

In Kilifi South subcounty, Mwarakaya ward, I am fearful of the area Chief's security. Yesterday, I attended the burial of a man who was killed by a gang, of which three of them are at Kijipwa Police station. The man used to report that some people planned to kill him but the Chief did not take any action. Instead, the Chief replied to the man (Mr. Daniel) "Let them kill you, we see". Yesterday, we buried the man. The Chief attended the burial, with everyone blaming him, until he had to leave after giving his speech. The family of the deceased is at a loss.
